The Daniel Technology IP-MDT is the only full function MiniDisc transcriber with all features required to efficiently make an accurate transcript. There is a large LCD screen which is angled for easy viewing and readability. The controls are positioned for user convenience and ease of operation. The IP-MDT has the Selectrac™ monitor system which allows the use to hear the exact desired sound from a stereo recording. Excellent sound quality is produced by the high performance stereo headphone driver as well as an internal 2½ inch loudspeaker with its own amplifier. The loudspeaker has a 9 kHz frequency response providing great voice clarity. There are also fixed level stereo line output connectors for making copies of the recording without being effected by the headphone volume control.

Accuspace™ foot pedal control provides a precise user adjustable back-space. The playback mode is maintained as long as the PLAY pedal is depressed, then when released, the recording will back up by the amount selected and stop. A separate pedal provides a sophisticate capability of both REWIND and REVIEW functions which are also canceled when released. Track search can be performed from either the foot pedal or keyboard on the transcriber unit. This arrangement is preferred by most transcription personnel thereby allowing accurate transcripts to be made efficiently.

All possibility of erasure, alteration, or track marking has been eliminated, thereby making the IP-MDT safe for use with original recordings as well as work copies.

Dimensions of the transcriber are 4 x 5 x 7 inch. The foot pedal, stereo headphones, and AC power supply are included.

The current preferred recording medium for both transmitter/receiver kits and body recorders is MiniDisc. Because the MiniDisc holds more than five hours of stereo recording, making CD or cassette copies for disclosure and prosecution work can be difficult, requiring sets of several tapes or CDs (media spanning). The solution is to make MiniDisc work copies - one original one copy. The MD-CS duplicating system is an economical way to make 2, 3, or 4 simultaneous copies thereby reducing the total time needed.

Simply insert blank MiniDiscs in the slave units, the original in the master, and operate one switch to start all units simultaneously. Any record mode (standard, mono, LP2 and LP4 stereo) can be copied. Recording levels are automatically matched or may be manually changed to improve low audio signals. There is no limitation (SCMS) on the number of copies which can be made from an original.

The MD-CS system is available for desk-top use, rack mount, or in a shipping field case. Although not usually needed, headphone or loudspeaker monitoring is available on special order.

The Daniel Technology IP-MDT transcriber is the ideal companion unit for playback and transcribing either original or copy MiniDiscs. It can be used both for office and courtroom presentation.
